Hello!  My name is Hua Lao and I am a self taught makeup artist and currently training to become an esthetician.  I was born in California, but moved to North Carolina when I was six years old.  I found my passion for the art of makeup artistry when I was 18 years old and attending college.  I thought I always wanted to be a graphic designer because I love creating art and photography, but I fell on some hard times.  Eventually, I lost interesting in pursuing that career path and found myself gravitating towards makeup.  Regardless of any situation I was in, as long as I look good, I felt so much better.  That was when I realized the power of makeup.  Makeup can transform anyone into anything they wanted to be without making any commitments.  I wanted to use the skills in makeup artistry I have aquired to make others feel beautiful and confident.  

 

One of my client asked me, "How can anyone wake up so early to apply makeup on others? Aren't you tired?"  I responded, "This is what I love to do. This is a passion. I could do this all day."
